Cara Crossan is a Clinical Psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience in the fields of addiction, trauma, and forensic mental health. She holds a Master of Science in Addiction Psychology and Counselling, along with an Advanced Diploma in Clinical Supervision, and is a Registered Member of PACFA (Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia).Cara is the Founder and Director of Cross Addictions, a specialist private practice based in Melbourne. Her career spans Australia, the United Kingdom, and Ireland — including clinical leadership roles managing treatment facilities in the UK, specialist adolescent work in Ireland, and extensive work within forensic and criminal justice settings.

Her integrative approach blends psychodynamic, somatic, and neuroscience-informed therapies, guided by a deep commitment to trauma-informed, attachment-focused care. Cara works with individuals and couples navigating some of life's most complex and often stigmatised challenges, always bringing clinical rigour alongside genuine compassion.
